Local and National Initiatives Supported Through Ryder Hesjedal’s Tour de Victoria

Victoria, BC – September 22, 2013

At the third annual Ryder Hesjedal’s Tour de Victoria, Ryders Cycling Society of Canada awarded a total of $10,000 to several organizations that promote cycling and active living across Canada, and a local up and coming cyclist. McGrath and Hesjedal, directors of the Society, awarded cheques to the GoodLife Kids Foundation, as well as two local cycling initiatives, the Victoria BMX Club and the Cowichan Valley Trail Stewards and a promising young cyclist, Joel Taylor.

The fourth annual Ryder Hesjedal’s Tour de Victoria will be held on August 24, 2014. Produced by Ryders Cycling Society of Canada, the Tour de Victoria is a supported mass-participation cycling event in beautiful Victoria, British Columbia. The ride highlights the world-class cycling routes and breathtaking scenery Victoria has to offer.

Riders of all fitness levels can take part in the ride by choosing one of three distances: Harbour Air 150km for the experienced cyclist, 105km for the cycling enthusiast, and the 45km for the entry-level cyclist.
